Simple, rustic beauty in a historic setting
Headlands Center for the Arts is a non-profit arts organization that hosts an internationally renowned Artist Residency program. In support of its artists and core programs, Headlands allows outside use of its Building 944 facility for weddings, meetings and other events for up to 175 people. A former army barracks built in 1907, Building 944 is open to the public Monday – Friday and Sunday. When you use our facility, you must be aware that our artists will also have access to the building.
Our rooms have been renovated by major American artists – David Ireland, Ann Hamilton, Bruce Tomb and John Randolph – and so must be respected as the works of art they are and treated well during the time of the use. Consequently, a Damage/Cleaning Deposit is required of those booking the facility for all uses.
For wedding rentals, the ceremony & reception normally occur in the Eastwing, and bar service, dessert, coffee, hors d’oeuvres, etc., often occur in the Rodeo Room and on the 2nd floor foyer.
Headlands’ Building 944 can be rented for weddings and/or receptions on Saturdays only, from 9AM – 11PM.
