Nestled in the Berkeley Hills
The Brazilian Room is one of the most popular wedding sites in California, hosting over 200 weddings a year. Located in the Berkeley Hills in Tilden Park, the Brazilian Room was built in the 1940s that looks like a lodge from the outside, English Tudor design inside including vaulted ceilings and windows that go from floor to ceiling. The hall seats 150 banquet style, and just outside is a flagstone patio that overlooks the expansive lawn and trees of Tilden Park, a perfect place for an outdoor wedding. The historic hall features the original interior hardwood paneling from the Brazilian Pavilion at the 1939 Golden Gate Exposition on Treasure Island. The paneling was donated to the East Bay Regional Park District, who then built a building of local rock and timber to house the paneling and the hall became known as the Brazilian Room.
